Welcome to our website, where you can read about the latest class news, send me an email with your news, post a message, and look up addresses. You can also link to recommended websites. All features are not available yet, but will be soon. The goal of this web page is to keep the spirit and closeness of the class of 1987 alive by keeping in touch with each via sharing the events that shape our lives. I will continue to solicit information and publish a newsletter twice a year (approximately January and July). The newsletter will be posted here to the website and classmates will be advised of the update by email. In between official newsletters, however, you will be able to visit the site as often as you wish to look up address information, submit news to me, or post a message to your fellow classmates, or read what others have posted. Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions. Julie Information on Recommended SitesGreatergood.com allows you to shop at a variety of such as amazon.com, JC Penney, JCrew, Avon, The Sharper Image, Office Max, and many more, and have at least 5% of your purchases go to the charity of your choice. Links to a few the editor's favorite websites are also listed to the left, and at these websites you can also link to Greatergood to sign up to have a portion of your on-line shopping go to that charity. So if you shop online why not make your dollars count and do your shopping through one of these sites. Greatergood also has links to websites such as The Hunger Site, The Rainforest Site (both described below) and other humanitarian sites where just clicking does some good. 20/20 Vision is an organization whose philosophy is "20 minutes a month to help save the earth!" Once you join by making a tax-deductible contribution you will be mailed a postcard every month detailing an important issue that needs support. The postcard will give background information on the issue and indicate who you should write, call or email to express your support or opposition. The action will take less than 20 minutes. Is that too much to ask to help out the environment? At the Classmates site you can register your info or look up information about other people. At The Hunger Site you can donate free food to countries in need. And at The Rainforest Site you can preserve the rainforests. These sound too good to be true, but reliable sources have verified that the sites do work. Sponsors pay for the food and purchase square footage in the rainforest; all you have to do is click, so visit often! There are also links from both of the sites to the websites of sponsors so you can shop and have part of your purchase benefit these causes. Thanks to Victor for bringing these sites to our attention! Laura has made the
suggestion to add the Adventist Church's official website and reports that
from there one can search for
Mike O'Neil provided us with the website for the "New" San Pasqual Academy. Let me know if there is a website you'd like to recommend for addition to this list.
